Know God

2 Corinthians 5:18-21 “Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

How do I enter into a relationship with God?

Realize that you are a sinner.

No matter how good a life we try to live, we still fall miserably short of being a good person. That is because we are all sinners. The Bible says, “No one is good—not even one.” Jesus said we must become born again in order to be forgiven forever and make it to heaven. We cannot become born again and forgiven forever without Jesus Christ.”

Recognize that Jesus Christ died on the cross for you.

The Bible tells us that “God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” This is the Good News, that God loves us so much that He sent His only Son to die in our place when we least deserved it.”

Repent of your sin.

The Bible tells us, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away.” The word repent means to change our direction in life. Instead of running from God, we can run toward Him.”

Receive Jesus Christ into your life.

Becoming a Christian is not merely believing some creed or going to church. It is having Christ Himself take residence in your life and heart, placing your trust completely in Him for the forgiveness of your sins, eternal life, and handing the steering wheel of your life over to Him.”

“…that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” If you would like to have a relationship with Christ, simply pray this prayer and mean it in your heart.” Romans 10:9-10

What now?

If you find yourself reading this and desire to become born again, repent, and surrender your life over to Jesus Christ once and for all, you can pray something along these lines to Him, and Him alone.

“Dear Lord Jesus, I confess I know I have sinned against You and You alone. I believe in my heart that You died for my sins and rose from the grave to give me the opportunity to have eternal life with You. Right now, I turn from my sins and open the door of my heart and life to You, I want to be born again. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus Name, Amen.”

Did you receive Christ?

Welcome to the family of God! We would love to hear from you and meet you! Now that you have come into a born again relationship with Christ,

He has given you eternal life/a new birth:

Titus 3:4-7 “But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”

He has forgiven ALL your sins forever:

Psalm 103:12 “As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.”

He now calls you to grow with Him:

1 Peter 2:2-3 “…as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word (the bible), that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.”

He is now in a personal relationship with you:

Revelation 3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.”

He has now given you the ability to live a godly life:

2 Peter 1:2-3 “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue..”

He now calls you to the church community:

Hebrews 10:24-25 “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”

He has given you a spiritual gift to use:

Ephesians 4:7 “But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift.”

He now calls you to GET INVOLVED:

Ephesians 2:10 “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
